How Writer’s Read

Welcome to Tequila Mockingbird, a group of students on a journey to understand the dimensions and rhetoric of narrative through four books over the course of one semester.

As students in Dr. Drew Kopp’s How Writer’s Read class, we will be exploring four methods to fully understand each of our chosen books.  These methods include reading for mimesis and theme, reading for genre and the synthetic register, reading for intertextuality, and reading for the rhetorical dimension of narrative.

Each book we read will receive a blog focusing on each method written by the members of Tequila Mockingbird.  Grab a book, grab a drink, and get ready for the ride!

For a full list of books we will be exploring, visit our reading proposal.
